IANR Media Staff Visits West Central Research and Extension Center
Around 40 attendees from surrounding counties in the West Central district participated in the workshop. Each session lasted two hours which included presentations on best practices and an opportunity for faculty and staff to provide feedback and ask questions. In addition, the workshop aimed to provide website and social media strategies for advancing efforts to provide educational information and programming to the community.

"It was great to meet face-to-face with extension professionals who are eager to learn at WCREC," said IANR Media Specialist Haley Steinkuhler. "The group discussed a great deal of practical tips which can elevate our social media performance."
The social media session covered how to make a plan for your social media presence, the available social media platforms, quick tips to save time on social media and how you can use social media to promote, cover and recap an event.
The web session reviewed strategies and best practices for determining goals, targeting an audience, reviewing Google Analytics reports and formatting and optimizing web content. "I enjoyed visiting the center, learning about their goals and sharing web strategies with a welcoming and engaged group. I look forward to continuing to work with them," said IANR Media Web Strategist Anne Holz.
